Problem, constraints and approach
Klarna’s browser extension lets people pay later on almost any online store, including Macy’s, eBay, Walmart and Nike, with automatic coupons, cashback and one-time cards. Because it runs on other companies’ pages, a bug can put a partner at risk. eBay once gave Klarna a deadline: fix an extension bug, or end the partnership. I led the redesign, managed several critical features and found that bug’s root cause two days before the deadline.
